The Next Phase of Development

May 11, 2021 - The Avatar: Pandora Rising Dev Team

A message to our players, from the Avatar: Pandora Rising team:

We’re thankful for how dedicated you’ve all been to the fight for Pandora and the valuable feedback you’ve shared along the way. Our team has been focused on building out a plan based on what we’ve learned in our Initial Launch period, and while we can’t share specifics just yet, we are excited about the next phase for Avatar: Pandora Rising and committed to making this game the best experience possible for our players and fans of Avatar. As we enter the next phase of development, you’ll be able to keep playing the current iteration of the game, but we will be limiting the availability of the game by removing it from the app stores for new players and turning off the ability to make in-app purchases on Wednesday June 9, 2021 @ 11:00AM PDT.

In this phase of development, our team will be heads down working on major changes for the next version of the game. We’ll share updates with you when we can. We’re also forming a plan to bring you, our dedicated players into the new experience. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we focus on this next iteration of the game.

Current Game Support

Seasons, Sacred Sites, Daily Events, and our Customer Support services will continue. We’re planning to have at least one more Continent merge next Season and will evaluate if additional merges are needed. If any of the plans change here, we’ll keep you all informed.

We know one of the more impactful issues currently affecting players engaging with the Sacred Site Events is the availability of Advanced Relocates in the Shop. To address this, we’ll provide 2 Advanced Relocates each week for all players eligible to participate in Sacred Site Events.

Some Changes To Expect

As major changes will be coming, we’ve decided to turn off the ability to make in-app purchases as of Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11:00AM PDT. No refunds will be provided for any purchases made prior to this date. At the same time, we’ll also be limiting the availability of the game in the app stores so it will only be accessible to those that have already downloaded. We highly encourage you to connect your Facebook account in the Settings>Account menu and take a screenshot of your PID from your Player Profile as a precaution against losing access to your account. Here’s how to access the game if you need to reinstall or change devices once the game’s availability changes across the app stores:

  • Google Play Store
  • Open the Google Play App on your Android device
  • Ensure you are logged into the correct account you downloaded the game on
  • In the ☰ menu, navigate to “My apps & games”
  • Browse your “Library” tab for the game
  • Apple App Store
  • Open the App Store App on your iOS device
  • Tap the sign-in button or your photo at the top of the screen
  • Tap “Purchased”
  • If you use Family Sharing, tap “My Purchases” or choose a family member’s name to see content that they purchased
  • Tap "Not on this [device]"
  • Find the app that you want to download, then tap the download button 

We know you’ll be eagerly awaiting the next version of our game and hope you continue to share your feedback with us. In the meantime, things will be a little quiet on our end as we work.
